Fundamentals & Survival
Your first week focuses entirely on safety, understanding the basic positions, and learning how to protect yourself on the ground.
What you'll learn:
- Basic stances and movement
- Protecting your neck and limbs
- Understanding the hierarchy of positions
Escapes & Defense
Learn how to get out of the worst positions. We'll teach you the core principles of creating space and escaping safely.
What you'll learn:
- Mount escapes
- Side control defense
- Proper bridging and shrimping
Guard & Distance Management
Discover how to use your legs as a shield. The 'Guard' is Jiu-Jitsu's superpower for smaller people.
What you'll learn:
- Closed guard basics
- Keeping opponents away
- Breaking posture
Sweeps & Reversals
Turn defense into offense. Learn how to use leverage to flip your opponent over and end up on top.
What you'll learn:
- Scissor sweep
- Hip bump sweep
- Using their momentum against them
Submissions & Flow
Put it all together. You'll learn fundamental submissions and start controlled, safe positional sparring.
What you'll learn:
- Basic chokes and armlocks
- Connecting positions
- Safe, guided sparring (rolling)
